Angela Akins Gracia, a young woman who was enthusiastic in sports, chose to take up playing golf. Garcia was captain of Mable Falls' high school team and led the team to third place in regional competition in 2003. The team then finished 6th in 2006 as they were the sixth-place team. Garcia went to Texas Christain University to study for some years after her graduation from high school. Then she transferred to the University of Texas. At the University she was given the chance to compete on a larger scale and her skills grew as time went by. Angela Akin Garcia was a fantastic golfer but never imagined pursuing a career as a golfer. She chose to pursue journalism instead. After graduating from University, she was offered a position as a reporter on Fox Sports Southwest.
